Been fighting them for a week to get my birth certificate. Apparently my ssn, ID, and a copy of my court ordered name change is not enough clarification about my name. They are the absolute worst.
My little girl was born 5months ago, I got the paper with her name on it to correct or send in... It was spelled wrong I made copy's before I left the hospital of everything I filled out and it was spelled right on my end so they messed it up.. so they should maybe hurry right I have fought with them since Dec because I need her birth certificate to get her SS card to get her passport I have been told to send in a rush fee $25 on top of what I already paid Than they told me it would see be 5 months I lost it than they said n... read more
they need to hire more employees maybe process will be a lot quicker
It's been 7 months since my daughter was born and they still haven't given us her birth certificate. We paid the expedite fee, and when there was a problem with our paper work, they didn't attempt to contact us at all to clear up the discrepancy. We only found out 3 months later after we called and asked why we hadn't received it. I called today and the representative was rude and dismissive and hung up on me when I refused to pay the $20 again to expedite the process. I would give them negative stars if I could.
