My daughter was a patient there recently. She is 4 years old. We were referred there by our pediatric doctor because my daughter failed the vision test at her 4 year wellness visit. At the appointment my daughter’s doctors asked me if I wanted her to get her vision checked because she failed the test and I said yes. My daughter’s doctor did not refer us to childrens eye doctor because they have an extremely long wait time and because she was just needing a vision check, she referred us to Dr Katherine Laney. I've been going to the Center for Sight for a few months now. I had cataract surgery and am now fitted for glasses. I like that this is a one stop shop. Dr Franklin did an amazing job with a surgery that I was terrified of. I can't say enough about his surgery center staff! Amazing! I asked for prayer with the anesthesiologist and he was happy to do so. They even gave me a cup of coffee while being wheeled out. You are put at ease from check in until you're out. I rarely ever leave a bad review but its only because its warranted. My primary care facility had me come here for a Spider Bite. No one at this facility could confirm it was a spider bite. However, after further investigation by my daughter who clearly saw the scab from the bite did indeed confirm it was. I told the doctor and his assistant or nurse in the room that I was highly allergic to a certain antibiotic and just access it from my primary doctor where its clearly stated. This review is strictly for optical department. I have been calling for over a week every single day each time sent to voice-mail and when i leave a message it is never returned. I JUST WANT TO KNOW IF MY GLASSES ARE THERE OR NOT!
The doctors here are wonderful. Unfortunately, my overall experience was negatively impacted by repeated interactions with Angie, the optician. Each encounter was unnecessarily rude and unprofessional, which was disappointing and unexpected. Because of this, I will not return while she is employed here. Should that change, I would gladly reconsider my review and update it to five stars.
