We hired Center for Nonprofit Law to help us form a Land Trust. We couldn't be happier with the legal work and total package. One outstanding benefit of working with this firm has been the excellent education they have provided to the founding Board Members and the ongoing support we've received. Would recommend without qualifications.
One of the best decisions we made was to work with CNPL to obtain our 501c3 status. The team there are quick and thorough, and we felt supported through this process. They also helped us get set up with a great base to grow from: bylaws, policies, board education, etc. This is an incredible service. Thank you CNPL! We are a VERY small not-for-profit, so easy access to the Center for Nonprofit Law was instrumental to us - especially as we looked for clarification around IRS Public Support tests. They were able to QUICKLY respond to our question and helped us figure out a much more advantageous way for us to put our investments to use!
Emily and staff support at the Center for Non-Profit Law, were key in helping the Springfield Rotary Club 501(c)(3) get a re-designation as a public charity vs. it's previous status as a supporting organization. We had originally filed as a public charity but the IRS coded us the wrong way and this prevented us from getting some funds transferred from donor contributions.
