If a medical provider gives you medical "advice" and you make an informed decision as a patient to do a different type of evidence-based treatment, yet are released from the practice due to "non-compliance", then you are being given an ultimatum. Your medical provider does not truly care about you in this case. Your medical provider claiming to care for your and your baby's wellbeing, yet being so stubbornly "my way or the highway", is all about them- NOT you. They claim to want women to "get the birth they want" in their own words. The medical director, Dr. Bowers, is completely unreasonable and uncompromising. She will not even entertain a vbac patient or even a woman who has already successfully had a vbac in the past-- she loves c-sections. I would imagine that her c-section rate is extremely high. She throws a fit when women go past their due dates. There is no evidence that the risk of uterine rupture increases the longer the pregnancy progresses. Forcing a woman to deliver ... read more

After being at this practice for 6 months, I have decided not to return. And then came on google to find a very similar review to my experience, I felt the need to share. They promote as an all women staff, of women for women, but I felt gaslit on multiple occasions by the professionals, and had a disrespectful interaction with Dr.Bowers who did not collaborated, judgmental, invalidating, and honestly, rude. Prior to my scheduled induction I had gone over a birth plan with Amanda and the midwives with a few requests. In short, I requested: to have as natural of a birth as possible (knowing that situations may change depending on the circumstance) And to be hooked up to the heart rate monitor as little as possible as mobility was important for me in this pregnancy.
