I traveled from Gainesville \Ocala area because I could not find a surgeon who would treat a hernia as large, or complicated as mine. I was 70 and had lost my quality of life as a result of this protrusion that made me look 7 months pregnant. Hernia surgery and much needed tummy tuck 9/14/2015. Three days in the hospital with little pain. I was up walking within hours. Excellent care with Dr. Yunis assistant Ralph at the hospital. Post operative care has been outstanding. Office nurse Melanie is a great asset to the team. Dr. Yunis will be operating on a close family member soon, highly recommended by myself. 5 stars for sure!!
All what I read about him was excellent until I met with him! He seemed extremely knowledgeable, but the rudest physician I have ever visited. He had a ship on his shoulders. He was threatened by my questions. He seemed to think he knows it all, I am the doctor, you are the patient; keep the wall in between. Dr. Yunis performed my hernia surgery on 29 Jan 14. I have nothing but good things to say about the procedure. I am fully recovered with no pain...I took walks the next day after the surgery with only a slight discomfort. I highly recommend Dr. Yunis. His office staff at the Center for Hernia Repair and the nurses, technicians, and staff at the Sarasota Physicians Surgical Center treated me with kindness, concern, and compassion.
