Extremely unprofessional and unethical conduct. I’m dealing with a very tumultuous family matter in which my spouse has perjured herself numerous times under oath and committed HIPPA violations despite being a public health professional. My family has used the center many times for family and couples therapy. A low-cost gem in the community and a good start for anyone seeking counseling.
The Center for Healthy Families is a wonderful resource for the communities in and around College Park. The graduate student therapists there specialize in working with couples and families and do great work with individuals too! They work under the supervision of licensed clinical marriage and family therapists. When people reach out to me looking for reliable and affordable counseling services, the CHF is the first place I direct them to.
Saw Jeremy Brown for marriage counseling involving a physically abusive spouse. He neglected to report two instances of child abuse told to him in a session, as he is required to by law. When my spouse threatened me with violence in front of Jeremy, Jeremy said and did nothing. My spouse eventually tried to strangle me and has since been both hospitalized against his will AND handcuffed and taken to a hospital by police for threatening violence against women. Really not sure how this guy is still allowed to practice.
