I left this program earlier than I should have, from a recovery stand point. From a safety stand point, I felt as though I had no choice. There are a few amazing staff members. One of those, in particular, is a huge inspiration for me to keep going with my recovery and I feel I owe her my life. I’m incredibly grateful for CFD. My life has changed for the better since my time here, and I am incredibly grateful to my therapist Katie, and techs D, Jojo, and Caira for walking alongside me in my journey. I highly recommend this establishment.
I was a patient at Center for Discovery Chicago in 2021, and unfortunately, my experience was not only deeply stressful but medically dangerous. As someone with severe dietary restrictions due to chronic health conditions and food allergies, I was still served gluten on multiple occasions—even after repeatedly asking staff to confirm whether meals were gluten-free. CFD Chicago is by far the best treatment experience I’ve had! I attended the adult residential location in February 2025. I only stayed a few weeks, because of limited time off work, but in that short time I gained so much momentum toward recovery. Here are some of the things I appreciated most: The staff are amazing. Every clinician and tech was passionate, dedicated, and knowledgeable, and they treated us with dignity and respect. (And lots of laughter!
