This center has a policy where you aren't allowed to see another doctor at the practice even if a doctor you're seeing leaves, which isn't the patient's fault. I had one appointment with Curtin years ago and then she left, and the clinic refuses to take on those patients. So, basically, if a doctor leaves you can't be a patient here anymore. I’m incredibly thankful for Dr. Chheda. She showed respect, care and partnership in my treatment plan. Looking beyond the surface to root causes is what this center offers that traditional doctors don’t. Yes, it’s in investment - but after wasting a lot of time and money with functional practitioners who couldn’t actually prescribe medication, this investment paid off for me. Thank you, Dr. Chheda!
Unfortunately, Mast Cell Activation Syndrome is a rich person's disease. It definitely exists but is very difficult to receive a positive diagnosis for. It's like 2000 dollars for just a consultation here. Dr. Kaufman, I was told, will only see patients at his private practice from Washington state. More doctors should be educated on MCAS so people who aren't rich, like me, can afford medical treatment. And forget insurance -- they don't accept insurance here, either.
