Went here a couple years back for my eating disorder senior year of highschool and would not recommend it to anyone. The amount of emotional manipulation and abuse they get away with is not okay. If you don't finish a meal you have to write in a binder on the abuse you may have suffered as punishment for not finishing or all of the bad things that happened to you in your life as a " reflection" not understanding that this makes it worse, even if it was just a meal you did not like it did not matter nor did they have a variet... read more
I went in for help with an eating disorder but got so much more than that. I came out a stronger person and I am so grateful for all of the amazing staff for their support and belief in me.
Never send a loved one here! In the 6 months my lo was there, every one of their staff left due to poor treatment of the clients. The therapists and directors will alienate and antagonize the clients. Then when the client has a breakdown, they will kick them out of the program and call authorities to have them receive a mental health evaluation, even when the client is only upset for how they've been treated. Worst therapeutic relationship of my life. My assigned counselor made minimal effort to understand me and my disorder. I had a panic attack in her office and never had one before or since. Tried to advocate for myself and request a different counselor but was denied. Lead therapist seemed far more concerned with "the next group" and ushering us out of the program as quick as possible.
