I was seeing a doctor here and then received notice that the billing department would no longer file my insurance for me (I have double coverage). I was expected to pay out of pocket and file my own insurance every 3 months. WRONG!!!! I refuse to do their job for them.
I did not have much of an issue getting an appointment and I was seen pretty quickly. Front desk can be hit or miss as we see in the prior reviews, however let's also keep in mind they are not doctors.... literally receptionists so hollering at them will do you nothing, and they don't get paid enough to deal with some of yall so 🤫. As a prospective patient, please STAY AWAY from this practice. They are probably the rudest and most unprofessional staff that I have ever dealt with. I have been trying for almost 6 months to get an appointment after being referred from an endocrinologist. When I initially called them to set up an appointment, the office refused to schedule one because they needed the office notes from the referring doctor. Okay, I can understand that. Seven years ago, I was referred to a rheumatologist at the Chesapeake office after a positive ANA titer and multiple autoimmune symptoms. I saw that doctor multiple times and left feeling dismissed — nothing came of the visits. My condition only worsened, so my PCM recently ordered a new ANA titer that came back positive, very high with a pattern change, and more symptoms added on.
