After reading the reviews I was very reluctant to make an appointment but I'm so glad I did. Dr. Amontree was excellent. He listened to my concerns, was extremely friendly and professional and was able to get my procedure scheduled quickly. All I can say is sometimes the bad reviews have nothing to do with the doctor. I highly recommend him and am sorry to see Millenium Physician Group is discontinuing all gastroenterology services so Dr. Amontree is moving to another practice the end of June. Absolutely a sad excuse for medical service. Dr is nasty has an attitude and so do the nurses. Luckily found another GI in the area who is amazing! Would never come back here if it was the last place available.
Please read all reviews prior to making an appointment with this provider. First visit with Dr Amontree, I waited 45 min in the room for him. Did not go well. Appointment was for severe abdominal pain, 30+lb weight loss and enlarged liver. He barely asked any questions and did not listen to me at all. He could not be bothered. Ordered a colonoscopy 3 weeks out and did not order an EGD or ask to see me for a follow up appointment. Pain completely disregarded, offered me a low dose antidepressant for IBS. I’ve been a patient for several years, Dr Amontree is very personable, always takes his time talking to and explaining things to me. His diagnosis was correct and his staff has always treated me exceptionally well. He listens and takes my feelings into account, highly recommend.
