Good spot to view the town from, steep walk up so make sure to rest at the chairs along the way if you need it.
you’re in the area! The views from the top are incredible, you get a full 360° panorama over Mount Gambier, including the lakes and surrounding countryside. The short walk up is totally worth it, and the tower itself has a nice bit of history to it. It’s a great spot for photos and just taking in how beautiful the region is from above. Peaceful, scenic, and well worth the visit, highly recommend making the effort to go up!
The walk up is quite short but very steep. From the top, you get a beautiful panoramic view overlooking Valley Lake, which is absolutely stunning. Although Google Maps indicated that the tower opens every Monday from 10am, it was still closed when we arrived at around 11am. That said, it’s still definitely worth the climb to take in the beautiful views of Mount Gambier.
