One would think this business would have web access for customers to view and download their invoices and receipts. But no, they have not yet joined even the twentieth century. I had to call several different locations in order to get a call back from a customer service rep who will be emailing me a copy of my receipt. I was tempted to give one star, but everyone I spoke with was very helpful and understood how crazy this was.

The products are much more expensive than what you can find online. They are also very difficult to communicate with and generally not responsive to emails. The quality of service delivered is not on par with that of Northwestern Medicine. I would recommend using a different provider for durable medical equipment.

If I could leave a 0 star rating I would. Their lack of communication with patients is disgusting. They bill insurance whenever and for whatever they want. They lie about your insurance coverage and who is going to pay what amounts/percentages. In no way would I ever recommend NM DME to anyone.

My insurance was billed $757.25 for the supplies shown in this picture. I will never buy supplies from Northwestern Durable Medical Equipment again. In my view, this type of price gouging is unethical, especially for those who cannot afford it. Just for two of the six nasal cushions (shown in the plastic boxes), they are billing $116.50! And $10 for two of the flimsy filters. This is the exact reason why health care is so expensive.
