This place was open when I needed somewhere to go and provided me with decent food and a place to stay. The rooms are very nice and the facility it quite modern as it was an assisted living place before. They have several groups and people come in to lead them giving the opportunity to make recovery connections for when you leave. This program is not the same as their long term program. This one follows the medical model and clients are not responsible for policing each other like the self-help/community-method model at the ... read more

I watched this center being used as a place to meet others and connect for drug hookups. The lack of principles taught here DO NOT work. Instead everyone meets, talks about their “drug use/drug choice”, and then leave, going into a “sober house”, half the time with no means, and then, relapse together because they are each others connections. The staff have inappropriate relations with the “patients”, constantly turning and burning staff. I watched not only my sister crash and burn here (now deceased), but all the crowd she ... read more

I was a resident of Cenikor in the late 80's and graduated after completing the requirements of the program, then fulfilling the reentry goals of aftercare. It is a lengthy journey but if you just stay the course you will not be the same person coming out as you were going in. Give yourself a chance to change. Kenneth B. Graduate

This place is a scam. They take you in, give everybody the power to put everybody else in “time out” and its a popularity contest whether or not you are constantly in trouble. The people in leadership are constantly wheeling and dealing behind the scenes and the employees who have been through the program know it is all a game. This rehab is so crooked that i have been clean for 5 years strictly out of spite. This isn’t to say all the staff is bad, there were some that genuinely care, I also made some good lifelong friends t... read more

This one of the worst experiences of my life. The promises made were a complete lie. Advertised on the website a was gym for residents to use, non-existent. They literally had 2 dumbbells for the entire men's unit to share. The food was horrible. We were fed things from spam and canned green beans to non-authentic cultural foods that were very poorly made. You are not allowed time to yourself outside of one hour break midday. Other than that you must stay in AA meetings and various unprepared meetings from morning until 9pm.... read more
