Walked in to place an order and was told we couldn’t place an order because the kitchen was closed, however someone walked right in after me and placed an order. How did I know she placed an order, because as I sat in my car trying to figure out where I was going, I asked the person did they take her order and she said yes. 15mins later she walked out with a bag of food. Played. I wanted to try the food as there were so many good reviews. I waited about an hour for my food. Catfish was seasoned ok, buttered grits had no flavor at all, macaroni was just EMBARASSING. Tried the pineapple candied yams.. wouldn’t try again… the cornbread was sweeter than the purple rain kool-aid drink AND candied yams…. I ordered online for pickup. The food is tasty but pricey. I did unfortunately find two long strands of hair in my cat fish which was extremely disappointing. Food was $45 bucks. Got the ten( Keith Lee) a side of grits and 2 sauces which cost $2.99 each. Please everyone wear hairnets or hats.
This is Chris' Mom. We, my family and I love everything. When can we get greens at the Cottage Grove site.
I ordered catfish and chicken, it was overly sasoned and too salty to finish. Imagine adding hotsauce which would make even more salty. All in all ,If it was lightly seasoned i would've really enjoyed it. Unless the grease needed to be changed maybe that was cause. I'll give it another try.
