Aug 27, 2026 Contracted with "ProCell Shop Richardson", Richardson, Texas for (Full Apple price) iPhone XR battery replacement, which I paid in full. When delivered, and back at home, my iPhone XR noted that a non-Apple battery was installed. Bad. And it would not charge! Worse. Contacted ProCell. They said bring it in. That was the last contact I could make with them. The business phone later would not answer, and no message recorder was available. Went by the store during their business hours and it was closed. My phone was not charging and I was pretty sure the port just needed to be cleaned. When I took my phone in here, the man behind the desk took it, turned it in his hands once, and then proceeded to tell me that they would need to replace the entire port, keep the phone for 3 days and it would cost nearly $300…. Knowing better, I took my phone to Micro Center off 75, they actually ran a diagnostic on my phone, cleaned the port, and I was out in 30 minutes for $50 total. My phone charges perfectly now.
