Took my granddaughters 3 month old tablet in to replace the cracked screen. When I received it back it wpuld not charge. I took it back the rrpair text told.me.the battery was dead and needed a new one. I asked him for the serial number on that battery and called my falily.member who works at Apple. The service tech took the battery out and replaced it for a dead one when he replaced the screen. He decided to put the original battery back in. My friend called yesterday and was quoted $75 over the phone for replacing my iPhone 14 so I drove there 2 hours later (arrived 40 minutes bedtime CPR closed) after leaving work. The young guy was quite dismissive and well, ok, rude and told me it would be $495 without insurance and best possible $375…he didn’t present as very convincing as if upon my agreement, suddenly it would pop back up to $495 “out of pocket, not using insurance”. Which indicates they likely hike up $ to insurance providers…just a hunch. Unreal!! $500 ... read more
