I moved to North Carolina 25 years ago and I am proud to call Henderson my hometown. I graduated from the community college system and worked as a nurse at our local hospital in home health and in our surgeons office prior to returning to graduate school at UNC-Chapel Hill. I love this community the back roads and the people that live here. I know that everyone has not had the opportunity to learn about health care and how to take care of themselves. What stood out from my visit was the callous, lack of concern, belittling demeanor in which my child was attended to. EVERY concern I voiced as a parent was blown off, referrals for outside care were NOT placed and we had to endure stories regarding the NP's privilege and status! RUDE! CULTURALLY INCOMPETENT! I WILL NEVER REFER THIS PERSON TO CARE FOR HUMANS (animals either)! BTW, I also filled out the post services survey expressing my concerns and since no one chose to respond, here we are!
Uncaring, unhelpful, and unable to prescribe obviously needed medications. FAIL! ("Nurse Practitioner" is another way to say "not a doctor", should not be seeing general primary care patients.)
