Beautiful area and amazing waterfalls. Won't get the full picture unless you walk down to the bottom but don't recommend doing so for anyone with trouble traversing step graded and loose ground. Fantastic swimming hole at the bottom as well.
A beautiful hidden gem. It's not a very long hike, but there are a couple of different waterfalls if you travel back a ways. The main waterfall is definitely the showstopper, though. Pictures don't really do it justice. And it's very interesting to walk around the old hydroelectric plant and see it up close. There's not really any shade during the day, so make sure to wear sunscreen and bring water if you go in the summer.
This beautiful waterfall is thirty minutes outside of Dufur, Oregon. There's limited parking available and no park fee when entering the area. Upon the parking lot, there is a bathroom available on-site that's clean. If you have a packed lunch, there's plenty of picnic benches to sit back and relax while listening to the sound of the waterfall.
