Day of closing we did walk through with associate of celebrity homes. Before we signed anything wife just about broke legg in hole front yard. We were told a work order be submitted to come look at hole and fix. We moved in still haven't heard anything. There is now a huge sink hole under ground from front yard to under street. I am not paying to fix. When told celebrity would take care of it. Maybe they'll read this a care enough to drive and check this out before I have to look at some kind legal way. Update! Mike is the construction manager called me back and threatened to hold my sod until July. I am blown away that companies allow employees to operate like this. Do not buy!!!! Getting a simple warranty item fixed has been a nightmare. I was hung up on by the warranty service rep after being told to put in another request for the same exact thing. Was also told there's 160 homes ahead of you on a separate issue. Wish I would have chose another builder. AVOID!
Be aware of the purchase contract language used by this builder. You will pay for a portion of the prior year property taxes at closing as well as the entire tax bill for the year of purchase. This, even though you didn't own the property in the prior year or the entirety of the year of purchase. Legal, but a real cheap shot.
We have lived in our home for 2 months. So far, no major problems. The new dishwasher quit working after 4 uses. LG has yet to fix it. Has been 2 months. Don Igo, our representative, has been very very helpful to us. He even took our phone calls on his day off. Thank you Don!
Sales process was good. Easy. Sales rep was awesome. Issues are with build quality and customer service after the sale. Walk through is designed to speed you through and miss issues. Have a major drainage issue in the yard, no support. Plumbing leak on the main line, no support, discovered the bathroom sink faucets are too close to the backsplash to function properly, no support. Paint looks good but is like a chalk board, marks up if you even think about it. Quality has certainly improved from years ago but still lacking in... read more
