The food was good. The service is horrible. We were brought the wrong food twice. After telling the person that dropped the food off that it was the wrong food they told us no it wasn't. Later our waiter came and was like oh that's the wrong food. No kidding. The drinks are way overpriced.
I attended this place for my birthday dinner. First, the host was not friendly at all. We were refused seating until two others of our party arrived. They claimed that this policy was stated in a reminder text message, which I showed I never received. As the night went on, we asked how they would accommodate us with seating, and we were told, “this is a fine dining establishment and our policy is to cancel your reservation,” as if we were out of place and unfamiliar with such a setting. Service went above and beyond from the moment you walk in the door and wait on the patio before they take you to your table and throughout the night with the timely check ins during the meal. As someone with a gluten allergy they were accommodating and made sure to note my food as an allergy when taking our order. We started with the quesabirria, which was DELISH! I’d give this restaurant 2 out of 5 stars. The food was just okay—nothing particularly memorable or worth coming back for. Unfortunately, the prices were quite high for the quality and portion sizes offered, which made the experience feel disappointing overall. I expected much better given the cost.
I visited Ceiba yesterday with my family to enjoy a relaxing Sunday and celebrate my wife’s birthday. The restaurant itself is beautiful and has a great atmosphere, and the food was good, but unfortunately the overall experience was disappointing due to the service.
