Outrageous charge for one night stay for small dog! Government should provide some guide-lines for what they're allowed to charge. Bit of electrolytes, activated charcoal. Discharged with $77 dollar methocarbamol Rx. ( I'm a pharmacist cost of that should be about $10) My fault on that. I should have checked the bill more closely. Charged us $1200!!!
If I could give them a 0 I would, I brought a very sick cat in there last night that my daughter had found to get some help, and they brought him back and said he’s stable, then proceeded to say if you can’t pay the 160 for the exam your going to have to take him home with you. Then they sent me to the central Alberta human society saying they have drop boxes there ( they are for donations not animals) but I KNEW he needed HELP so I did leave him in there. We had to say goodbye to our dog yesterday, and it was incredibly difficult. Dr. Smuts and the entire staff were so kind, compassionate, and empathetic throughout the whole process. We felt truly supported in such a heartbreaking moment. Thank you for your care.
