My Mom was moved here from a lengthy wait in hospital about 4 months ago. Although the building is old, rooms are small, and they are behind on some maintenance issues.... overall the care my Mom receives from staff is excellent. All staff I have encountered have been very caring and very compassionate to her needs. I am especially thankful for Doreen in Maple. Thank you Cedar Villas care team!
Oh my God the same things are going on since the 90s. I am so sad to hear about so many terragtic stories still going on there years ago my grandpa and grandmother where neglected in there and were trying to transfer them out, but they both passed away about a month a part, only reason why I stopped by to read the reviews is because I'm looking for a home for my dad, I had no intrest in placing him at Cedar but I couldn't help noticing the reviews and no replys from cedar, this place should be shut down and a clash action la... read more
My mom moved to the Clover unit from South Campus Hospital the end of December '23. In the last 8 months, I would say that 90% of the staff are phenomenal with my mom, acknowledging her, caring for her and even 'I love you' on her birthday. I have come to know the staff, and their care and compassion is evident to me. My mom was in assisted living for 2 years prior, and her needs were not met at all, and in fact she was not safe there. I was visiting my grandmother. And I witnessed staff bullying residents. Yelling. Ignoring and laughing at 90 year old people. I watch a senior lady trapped in a doorway and no one helped her. Just walked by. Horrible. These people need to be treated better. Bad staff being bad humans. Maple Wing. Poor people. I will continue to review everything I see there. I will also call the government to see how we can stop the abuse at this care facility. If I see anyone abused I will call CPS
The staff at Cedars Villa have provided exceptional care for my brother who has physical as well as serious chronic mental health concerns (schizophrenia). Since being at Cedars Villa his mental health has signitically improved. My brother has gone from hiding from people to actively engaging in all social acitivites. He has hid from people for 50 years so this is incredible. His day/night sleep reversal is gone.
