I don't often give a one star review but this place doesn't even deserve that single star. To start off, the booth we sat in had an old gummy table and the seats had no cushion and wires poking through and had obviously been used far beyond their life. After we ordered we waited for much longer than you would expect as the only customers in the place, and then while we listened to the cooks in the kitchen next to us, we suddenly smelled cigarette smoke. Very dirty, poor service is an understatement, no service from the kid that was on his phone. The food was atrocious- we actually didn’t eat any after our first bite. All we had gotten were the wraps. Flat bread wrap - not pita as stated on the menu and not naan, cold and the meat inside was rancid. Awful. Paid $42 and left. 🥲
Portions are small compared to the price - incredibly misleading description. The staff is lost
I'm part Lebanese and was delighted to find good cabbage rolls, meat pies, kibbeh, fatayer, and other hard-to-find fare amid the much more common falafel, hummus, and kebabs. This is a delicious, family-run, affordable, cute walkable cafe in the heart of downtown Roanoke. I was so happy to find it while visiting Roanoke that I ate there two days in a row.
