The bed was infested with (what we assume is) carpet beetles I absolutely hate to leave this review because I would love to support a local business, so I went back and forth on whether to do so, but I need to warn other travelers. Sadly I do not feel confident that it will be adequately taken care of based on the innkeeper’s response and want to try to prevent others going through what we did. We love going to the Cedar Crest Inn and have returned many times. The rooms are fantastic, the rates are reasonable, and the staff are great. We always feel relaxed and rested after a stay. We will be back again soon.
Such an amazing place! Stayed for 4 nights and thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere, location, and service. The home is absolutely beautiful. Stunning. We appreciated the evening cookies and breakfast options, and would be excited to come back when full-service breakfast returns! Our only issue with our stay was the road noise. The inn sits right next to a main road so you will hear sirens and loud motors several times a day and in the night. However this is to be expected with the location and cannot be changed. I stayed here about 7 years ago, and back then everything was exceptional. The house and furnishings are still gorgeous. Unfortunately the service aspects have gone downhill since my prior visit. The breakfast breadth and quality was weak, and limiting available timing to 1 hour (8:30-9:30) was a problem. Similarly, limiting check- in to 2 hours (3-5 pm) was a negative, and charging guests $35 for an early check in seemed inappropriate given the cost of the rooms.
