I had to go to the ER for an appendicitis. I just want to give a big thanks to the people who took care of me. Dr. Miles is one of the kindest doctors I've ever met. He treated me so well and was very attentive. He diagnosed and got me treated so quickly. After being taken to my room he was there to care for me within 10 minutes and he stayed after his shift ended to see me off to surgery! came to the ER seeking help, but left feeling dismissed and dehumanized. From the moment I arrived, it felt like I was seen as "just another mental health case" rather than a person in distress who needed compassion and care. The staff seemed more focused on categorizing me than understanding what I was going through. There was very little empathy, and I felt like my concerns weren’t taken seriously.
