Dr Birisan Is a no nonsense Dr she knows her stuff. She literally performed an emergency surgery on me and saved my life. She really knows her craft. She’s a true professional. I am forever in debt to her, I highly recommend her services. after performing two surgeries on me, since July 2024 she was patient and explained everything. I knew what to expect. Dr. Birisan, her surgical team and the entire nursing staff at Huntington Hospital are superb and got me through my recent surgery with the utmost care and consideration.
I wanted to share my very positive experience as Dr. Birisan's patient. I initially met with her for a consult suggested by my primary. I brought along my daughter and found Dr. Birisan to be intelligent, patient and sympathetic as she answered all my questions. After several months and some more testing, my condition (diverticulitis) did not improve and became persistent. Dr. Birisan is extremely disrespectful and rude. She does not want to address any concerns before or after surgery. She cancelled my follow up appointment and then at my next appointment she was so dismissive and rude I could not even believe it. I had a horrible surgical experience and it left me in a very vulnerable mental state. When I tried to address this at the follow up she did not care at all and was extremely rough with me while doing an exam.
