If you find asbestos, mold, anything that could potentially be hazardous, call CDA and have it tested first!! We found mold in our crawlspace and asbestos tiles and mastic on our hardwood floors and it was a spiral! We were told by several abatement companies we'd probably have to abate/tear out the hardwood and redo the entire subfloor of our house because of the mastic (adhesive) that was on it. These are fantastic people to work with. We had bought a home built in the 40's that had been renovated, so when we decided to replace the flooring and saw 9x9 tile and black mastic, we started to worry. After calling CDA Environmental they walked us through the whole process of testing and taught us a lot about asbestos materials.
