lots of different music Going to a store to buy music seems to be a dying thing, but CD World does have a wide selection of different music to choose from and the folks there are very helpful at finding the right music for you.

They now have vinyl lps CD World has recently started selling vinyl, which is an obsession of mine. They have a good selection and I have found rare records for very reasonable prices (though, sadly, there are no 7" records there). You can visit the store online to check their inventory and reserve/order albums, which is really cool. Also, as far as CDs go I have been able to find albums there (especially British music) that I can't find at other stores. Okay Music Store in Lame Part of Town Good selection of pop/rock and local music. Not-so-good selection of Jazz and Blues or used CDs. Prices on sale items and new releases are good, prices on everything else are average. However, if you are looking to trade CDs or DVDs be prepared to get the poopy end of the stick. Their not-always-so-friendly staff will offer you a whopping $3 trade for a new CD that they turn around and sell for $9. Not my idea of a good deal.
