This picnic area is adjacent to the CCC cabins built back in the 1935. The picnic area itself is covered and there are four good picnic tables with two recycling cans nearby. However, there are no fires allowed in this area. Across the dirt road from the picnic area there are two standard-sized vault toilets, which the Park Service does a fairly good job of maintaining during the off-season. Right next to the area is a good size dirt parking lot, which is usually not to crowded.
