Unfortunately I did not have a good experience with this therapy group. I was contacted by their coordinator that a spot had opened up in their comprehensive DBT program. I was on the wait list for about 2 months so I was happy to hear a spot opened up. I filled out all the paperwork, did their extremely long and detailed preliminary assessment that addressed the issues I was currently struggling with and set an appointment for my initial intake. Worst therapeutic experience I’ve ever had. Staff was incredibly rude and unprofessional. Clinician (owner of the practice) was insensitive, judgmental, and invalidating.
Dr. Napolitano is a compassionate and effective practitioner. And I know she would accept nothing less from her team. Dr. N helped me trust myself, find freedom to imagine a different life, and hone skills to actually create it. We addressed what bought me to Dr. N , a diagnosis, but also tangential ways of thinking and being in the world that were not serving me or my most precious relationships.
