Hi, I rarely write reviews, however, tonight (August 15at around 7 pm) was exceptional! I came into the emergency ward at Cayuga Medical by ambulance. I was diagnosed with a horrid case of vertigo! I quickly received a room and Anna and Luke took professional care of me and nursed me back to health! I have never met these two brilliant people before! Anna and Luke are in a league all of there own! Five stars for both! Stella and Ali Avcisoy
I have received A&E care on 3 continents and 4 countries and I have not experienced better than I did today at Cayuga Medical Centre. The service was fast and professional. All staff had time to explain the process and the data as they emerged. The facilities were excellent. The pattern and logic of the investigations was flawless. Discharge and what to look out for and how to handle possible scenarios was fully explained. I am very grateful as are my family who were treated with respect.
After falling down the stairs And sustaining a spinal and head injury, I made the conscious choice to go to CMC over Guthrie. This was a huge mistake. I got there at 11 PM and was not seen by a doctor until 7:30 AM in the lobby for two minutes. No one ever offered me a bed to lie on or a comfortable chair. I was never given the ibuprofen. I was promised at 7:30 AM. Got here early with my fiancé experiencing blood in her vomit, fever, aches, mild congestion and general abdominal pain. It took roughly 3 hours for them to finally get to her, presumably losing her in the system as people with less severe cases who had been there for shorter had their test done first. And although the people are quite nice, it feels as though there is a minimal sense of urgency if any at all. In an ER!!! Took my son-in-law in to the ER for chest pains and left arm pain. They took him in did not EKG and put an iv in and sent him to the waiting room at about 5 pm. They did blood work 2x and right back yo the waiting room. At 9pm I got fed up with no answers and went to se wat was up. Come to find out his tests had been done since about 6pm. The literally forgot about him. We sat in the er waiting room with other patients that were also in sever pain. People that had ivs in and meds on polls. Some laying on floors.
