I came to this ER after falling directly onto my tailbone on a rock. I was in severe pain, could barely walk, and could not sit without significant pain. I understand ERs have to prioritize patients and that long waits happen, but I was there for about five hours and was never placed in a room. For the first three hours, I was left sitting on my injury, crying and trying to find a position that didn’t hurt.
