After one month in the new home, we found out that Caviness and Cates sold the lot we purchased fraudulently. The land development company out of Wilmington, NC had to send special documents for us to sign. Our back yard is consistently flooding because it was not surveyed properly nor enough top soil brought to even it out so it would not flood.
