On our last visit there over 10 years ago, we ended up staying at the Chateau. I got a kick out of our son asking why there was no tv in the room. Dinner was great, I chose the Buffalo, and my wife went with the salmon. Both were good, and while there really isn't any other hotel, motel, or restaurant anywhere close by, we were on vacation and splurged. Racist restaurant. I went to their cafe in the 2010s and will always remember the one and only time I’ve been ignored by the server despite being right in front of them. Had to watch as the people before and after me got their food while server skipped around me. You should have just had a sign out front saying “white only”. Hope service has improved since then.
Great place!
An authentic 1930's hotel. Rustic and located in the heart of the forest. Took the wife and kids here, just like my parents did back in the 1970's. Everybody came away with new & beautiful memories.
