Joseph was amazing. He designed and custom-built a whiskey rack for our apartment and it is spectacular. I get so many compliments on it and its a highlight to the room. He was very involved and iterative in the design-phase and worked with us to create a one-of-a-kind-piece that was all we could have hoped for. The quality of the piece is extremely high and, since it's made out of steel, should last forever. Also, he was on-time and on-budget (which was appreciated). Joe designs beautiful and extremely well made pieces. We approached Joe to make one of his consoles for a client which came out beautifully, and the process of working together was great. We requested some minor customizations and overall the piece is a functional piece of art. Joe was easy to work with, knowledgeable and has a great eye. It was a pleasure working together and I hope to do so again in the near future.
I looked far and wide for an unusual bench for our entryway and came across Cauv designs. The contrasting materials of wood, concrete and metal - with the pop of color (that doesn’t overwhelm) - is unusually beautiful. Can’t find anything quite like it, which was just what I was searching for. It’s comfortable too!
I highly recommend Joe Cauvel at CAUV Design for custom furniture. I reached out to Joe with a shell of an idea about recreating a mid-century furniture piece with more modern elements. He responded promptly with a design that captured the essence of the piece with some of his trademark stylistic choices.
