We were lucky enough to find Cauley Square quite by accident, and totally fell in love! To the point that we now have a store, Leni Borges Designs, here. This is a family.. always something going on, everyone helpful and happy, the stores are each unique in its own genre, the restaurants, both The Village Chalet and the Tea Room, are spectacular, and the whole ambiance gives you an air of a great getaway, makes you feel like you are miles and miles away from reality and walked into a dream oasis. It is awesome, specially when the bands are there. Gracias at food and drinks.
I visit at least twice a month or more. It's my favorite place in the world. Peaceful, tranquillity and lots of nature.
Could be SO much better. Including type of music on weekends and not just the performers name would be helpful in deciding to on a night out. Posting shop hours. Having access to someone who speaks English to get this information when calling. This is Marketing 101, and no one gets it.
With exception to the stained glass window shop and the aviary, I was neither impressed nor pleased with the rest of the square. Half of the shops were not open including the information/ historical/visitor center. Their hours stated they should have been open. The rock shop, the Indian import, and sewing shops reaked of insense which made them impossible for me to enter. All in all, I was very disappointed and would not recommend this for a sightseeing location.
