Great elementary school and school grounds
Perfect place for a short, cool, quiet walk. Its pretty well shaded for the most part. It's nice to walk along the creek and ponds the whole time.

The Caughlin Pkwy trails are paved, go for a couple of miles southwest and end at the hillside leading to the Hunters Lake trails. It's a very beautiful area, the paths as a result are highly traveled. Unless your dog is Flawless at the heel position, this is a leashed hike. You can squeeze in 4 miles as an out-and-back if you park near McCarran
