Cattermole Funeral Home was founded in 1902 by Robert Cattermole, a Civil War vertaran as well as a wood craftsman, cabinetmaker and sawmill owner. His son Leland became his partner and the second generation to own and operate the funeral home. Leland's daughter, Anna Mae Millman attended mortuary school during WWII and became the third generation owner when Leland retired in 1957. From the very beginning, Cattermole Funeral Home made our family feel my husband would be respected and treated with dignity. I was not aware of all the steps needed to bury a loved one, but Rob and Joan did it all for me and never once suggested buying an item I did not need or want. Having the availability of the Hospitality house next door to the funeral home was perfect for our guests who attended.
