The Catskill Country Store was opened in December of 2011 by Chuck Solberg. Chuck also operates a farm in Medusa, NY and a farm stand in East Durham, NY. A believer in the local food movement, Chuck opened the Catskill Country Store to provide the community with a place to get fresh, local, and delicious food right in the village. It's organic, it's local, it's fresh : it's a pearl in the town of Catskill ! This cute store is an oasis for all those who wants to find an alternative to big, inhumane supermarket chains. The owners are not only very kind, they are also deeply involved in the local food movement. They have a great selection of produce from neighborhood farms, amazing goat cheese, pesto, artisan breads, wonderful farm eggs and even beauty products...
Great spot to pick up locally farmed meat, vegetables and condiments plus locally baked bread and pastries. Coffee, tea , sandwiches and salads to grab and go . Friendly service. A bright spot on Catskill 's quaint Main Street.
