I recently switched to Dr. Kim and the timing could not have been more perfect. She is an absolute gem. She is so kind, caring and compassionate. She listened to me and trusted me and my body. I was prepared to have to fight for myself, because at my old OB’s office I would have had to. She not only respected my decisions but supported me also.
I had an appointment with the doctor scheduled for today at 3:00 PM. I arrived promptly at the appointed time. There was a woman ahead of me, and the receptionist, a white female, reminded me that patients are required to arrive 15 minutes early. She informed me that my arrival time of 3:06 PM might prevent me from being seen that day, and instructed me to fill out paperwork. I honestly haven’t had that great of an experience with them, ever. When I was a minor Dr. Kim would always push and push celibacy when I would ask for birth control. Which always stirred in my mind. I then switched to Dr. Catherine, wasn’t better either. She seems distant and like I was a bother for her to come in. I ended up getting Nexplanon, and the whole procedure with her putting it in was really bad. She’s very professional but comes across cold and disinterested. I want my doctor to care about me.
