I delivered my first baby naturally at the St. Cloud hospital 21 years ago. Dr. Matuska was the Dr. on call when I delivered him but not my OB. I was so glad I was able to have her deliver my son! She had her hands full with that delivery and did great! I looked her up upon finding out I was pregnant with my daughter. I returned due to her professionalism, straight shooting personality and ability to stay cool under pressure. She was again, a pro. I have no complaints about her or her practice.
I saw Dr. Matuska for the first time today. She was very personable yet professional and answered all my questions thoroughly. I would highly recommend Dr. Matuska.
I first met Dr Matuska while working on the unit as an RN. We had an emergent situation with a patient and I assisted her in the cares performed. I was amazed with her compassion, understanding, kindness, and communication. She has since become our familie's MD for OB/GYN cares. She is now my highest recommendation for her specialty.
I'm shocked by the reviews I'm seeing of Dr. Matuska. I see Dr. Matuska yearly for my physical and sometimes more often when further procedures were necessary. She has always been friendly, answered all my questions and had a wonderful bedside manner. Currently pregnant and seeing Dr. Matuska weekly, along with my husband who joins me at my appointments, she is thorough and genuinely cares about my growing family. Yes, she is blunt in her advice, but never pushy or rude. Best Dr I've had!!!
Don't let her "deliver" your baby. She will pressure you into suction and/or C-section. She will also forcefully PULL your placenta out before it is ready. If she walks into your delivery room. Fire her immediately. You have that right.
I would not recommend Dr. Matuska. I was very saddened by my experience with her. She was unfriendly, hostile, and refused to listen to me during delivery. When I disagreed with her insistence on an episiotomy (preterm baby-pushed for total of 20 minutes), she vindictively got revenge by stitching me without enough numbing solution. When I told her it hurt and I could feel her stitching she said, "That's what happens when you don't listen to me." Stay away!!!
