The food is awesome. The crowd is Family. I love it
Now you would think a restaurant that has been there since Lassie was a pup could do better, and here is my issue. The catfish was ok, shrimp ok, beans ok, tomato relish ok, but the tartar sauce???? NOT ok. You might say tartar sauce is just tartar sauce, but i look at it like I look at BBQ sauce at a BBQ restaurant - the sauce has to compliment the food, and Catfish Sams tartar sauce sits on the table, all day. Great food and service
We came to Catfish Sam's for a birthday dinner with a group of about 8 people, and we had an awesome time! I ordered the 'Slap Yo Mama' mini dinner, and it completely won me over. I'm usually not a big fan of traditional catfish breading, but whatever they do here is just delicious, crispy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly.
