Great little seafood Restrurant I say The Catfish House is a great place to eat. i work the some year back it was good then i love eating at the catfish house.
Very Poor Experience I had been to the Catfish House several times and had always loved it:however, yesterday 4/21/2010 ten of us went to celebrate my daughters birthday and the food was really really bad!. The fish was tough and very fishy tasting. The french fries were obviously cooked in the same grease because they tasted very fishy as well. ABSOLUTELY THE BEST!!! Seven of us went there Saturday afternoon for dinner. They do appetizers called "the setup" Hush puppies, white beans, and cole slaw. I HATE most cole slaws, but this was great! Actually good! Sweet instead of sour [most is too inoiny.] I don't like northern beans by themselves, but I LOVED these! Delicious "Southern Fried" Catfish If I'm in the mood for some really good fried catfish, Catfish House is the only place in this area I want to eat. The food is very delicious! The service is great! The prices are reasonable! The atmosphere is perfect! Even if you prefer broiled, grilled or boiled seafood, Catfish House can accommodate your tastes. Our kids love to sit near the huge fish tank. The restaurant is family friendly, but also enjoyable for dates or large parties. I think they offer catering services, too.
Glad they rebuilt I was so afraid they wouldn't build back and reopen, but boy am I glad they did. This is a great place. My wife loves the fried pickles!! Of course, you really just can't go wrong with any item on this menu. The service is top notch. I think everything, including the building is even better since they rebuilt. Prices are fair. We make the drive up and always enjoy our meal.
Great appetizers! At The Catfish House, every table gets what they call a "setup." This consists of hushpuppies, cole slaw and navy beans. And boy are the navy beans good. We haven't been quite able to pinpoint what they do to make them taste so good so we just quite trying and just enjoy them. I always get either the popcorn shrimp or the boiled shrimp. Great Catfish We carried our family of nineteen to Catfish House tonight. The service was fantastic,the wait was very short and the food was terrific.The drinks were filled promptly and the price was good.
