Catfish Cove My family and I went to the buffet on Sunday, Mother's Day. The food was excellent and the service was great and the prices very reasonable. The best "home cooking" buffet I've ever had. We haven't tried the fish yet but are looking forward to trying that as well.
Family FishCamp Catfish Cove is one of Gaston Counties famous "fish camps". The atmosphere is laid back and relaxed. The fish is delicious and always hot. Old timers have come here for years. Everyone knows everyone and that's what makes it special. The salad bar, while is doesn't have a huge variety of items, is always fresh and the dressings homemade. It has a great buffet on Sunday. The salad bar has variety. The service is great.
Don't Bother – First of all, I have to disagree with the other reviews. I went there based on those reviews expecting to try good seafood. Guess what? they do not serve seafood on Sundays. The "All you can eat" buffet should be described as the "All you can eat greasy, fried, salty, mush, unhealthy, food". If you did not get enough unheatlhy food, you have plenty of choices on the way out where you will find a huge line of candy bar, bubble gum, sweet tarts, and all that crap worse than a gas station.
