Would not hire Mark or his company. He has retained a bankruptcy attorney. He is not paying his subcontractors and makes up numerous excuses on why he can't pay them and why he can't finish any of his work even though we gave him a very large sum of money. ie. (he said Trades people are hard to find when actually he is not paying them). Edit: We have now had to redo ALL of his shoddy work. The electrical had to be redone as what he did was a fire hazard. Sincerely hope the owner finds a new career path. After having my bathroom flood, and gutted a 2nd time the reason was determined to be a nail from the baseboard install. Category 5 is careless and money hungry. They will accept payment, but not pay their subcontractors and not complete tasks or provide updates.

We worked for Category 5 as subcontractor, and they did not pay us for our work. We are filing a lien on his customers property. Do not hire him, he does not pay subs. As a home owner, this will affect your ability to sell your home.

I would not give him a star but had to to post. Do NOT use Mark Young, Catyegory 5 Construction. I contracted for a remodel in April to be completed by June 30th. I had work completed under his permit which was shotty and fired them after they wanted thousands more to complete. "Mark was contracted for the "permited" aspect of the remodel and he failed to order supplies, and did not complete my home. Cat 5 owes me over $11,000.00.
