Knowing our parents will need a senior residence in the near future, as a family, we started touring local places together. After the death of our father we decided to tour retirement homes for our mother. We toured a few and found that Cataraqui Heights was perfect. Our mother toured the residence and the display suite and fell in love with the decor (especially the purple sofa) she decided to go for it and never looked back. She's been there 3 months, she has made plenty of friends, likes the food, and especially social hour where there are always lots of laughs. This has been the best move that I have made so far and hopefully this is the last one I'm at Cataraqui Heights retirement residence and I've had nothing but nice things to say about it. The directors Jessica and Angela are doing an amazing job. And all the staff working here is very helpful and caring. There are plenty of activities to do here and a beautiful pool.
Went there for respite and loved it so much that I have rented a lovely apartment there for good. They are so friendly there and helpful.
I am undecided as of yet with my rating. Yes the residence is beautiful, however my brother has only been there 6 months and I am having second thoughts. The medical care is much less than I expected, the meals are okay, certainly not great, most staff are inexperienced a few are very good. My rating is only in the middle, it could go either way. I am looking into other residences for comparison of care and cost.
