The billing department is horrendous
10-minute visits billed as 40-minute complex care — beware of upcoding seems to be a Catalyst Health Group practice. Regardless of whether I see a nurse practitioner, physician assistant, or come in for a physical exam, this practice almost always codes the visit as CPT 99214. For context, 99214 is a billing code meant for an office visit involving 30–39 minutes of time or moderate-complexity medical decision making. My doctor is great, but their billing department is useless. They try to bill for extra things that should be covered under your visit. For example, annual physicals (including questions about your health) should be covered at 100% per the affordable care act and your insurance. However, if you ask just one little question outside of "what they think" is not considered part of your physical, they want to bill you for additional services. My wife went there for stomach issues and the receptionist Mariah Stevenson was rude and didn’t want to do her job. My wife is non confrontational so I’m leaving this review and maybe they’ll see it and hopefully give that girl some training. People coming in there already don’t feel good. We don’t need the bad customer service on top of it!
