We just used their gear haul service from Avalon to Little Harbor, and purchased firewood from them to be at Little Harbor when we got there. Great service from start to finish, no drama, and affordable pricing. Would hire again.

I had originally planned to hike from Two Harbors to Little Harbor with another adult and 3 children under the age of 8. I eventually changed that plan and began looking into options about getting to Little Harbor from Avalon and was told about Catalina Backcountry. By this time I had added 2 more kids to the trip so I told them I had 2 adults and 5 kids along with all the gear we required for camping. Aaron is absolutely amazing! His passion for the island shines through in everything he does. He’s incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and truly goes above and beyond to make your experience unforgettable. I was dealing with an old knee injury during my visit, and Aaron was so thoughtful and accommodating. Catalona Backcountry is hands-down the best service on the island. From start to finish, everything was seamless, professional, and full of heart. If you want a memorable experience, look no further. Highly recommend!

We are so lucky to have found these folks! Our group was well on our way to Hermit Gulch campground when we realized we forgot one of our tents at home. I called up Catalina Backcountry - not only do they have tent rentals for a very reasonable price, but they delivered it straight to our site and set it up for us. What a lifesaver! Thank you Catalina Backcountry!

I can't even begin to describe how wonderful Aaron was when my party visited Catalina for the first time. He went above and beyond our expectations to make sure that we were comfortable and taken care of.
