Not as goog as before – The first several times we went for happy hour at the catacombs, we were very happy with the service and they had excellent appetizer prices. We would get the $5.00 pizza and it would feed both of us. Then we didn't go for several months. This last time we went the prices had shot up and the quality dropped to fair. Tasty still, but not for the price. The atmosphere remains charming and warm, however I don't think we'll be going back.

A star for the wait staff, but the food reveals several misses and few hhits. – My wife and I have dinner for her birthday last Saturday (2/28). The interior of Catacombs is very Goth and cool, dungeonesque, so we are anticipating a unique and fun dining experience... There was a screw up from the hotel who told us not to make a reservation when we clearly needed one. Worst service in Spokane – To echo the other reviews, the service was just awful. Thankfully, there were only 5 in our party, so we didn't need to leave the 20% as did the table behind us. It took close to an hour to get our appetizer, which was cold. We saw our waitress maybe three times in the entire 2 hours it took to have dinner - the first about a half-hour after we were seated to take our order, the second to deliver our food, and the third to respond to the complaint we voiced to another server. Food is 5 stars, but service is 1 – Bottom line: It's a shame that such a beautifully appointed restaurant that serves such excellent brick oven pizza should have such excerable service. The 6 people in my party agreed that the service cancelled out our enjoyment of the food & we won't be back. Well, maybe if they offer take out. I wasn't impressed at all – The atmosphere was pleasant but the service was slow and unfriendly. I got the impression that they do not want college-age customers. For the price it wasn't a good value. I expected at least some bread on the table but there was none. The food itself wasn't very impressive either and the dinners had no side dishes. There are good places to go for a nice meal and this isn't one of them.

Catacombs is a must see! – I stumbled across this pub during a walk and was immediately drawn into it by the name and a long but inviting downward stairway that lead into (what appeared to be) a very clean and well-polished dungeun. As soon as I reached the bottom of the stairs I was greeted by the glow of lights and even a fireplace. It was earthy, with quarry rock walls and old brick; yet warm and cozy with huge chandeliers mounted to large wooden beams high above and new hardwood flooring at your feet. definitely worth a visit – The ambience is really what makes this place special. It's a kind of classy casual experience that's a nice place to share a civil time with friends. The food is good and there are many interesting menu items. The history of the pub is intersting, and the cozy environment is accented by medieval-esque decor. This is a nice place to go.
